The UK’s biggest, most exciting, completely teenage orchestra perform in Northern Ireland for the very first time.  NYO, with their voracious teenage energy, will combine with three youth choirs: the National Youth Choir GB, the Irish Youth Chamber choir and Codetta, to form a fittingly epic force to deliver a programme of epic music.

Conducted by Vasily Petrenko and joined by world-class soloists, talented teenagers from far and wide will come together in a joyful celebration of the commission of one of the most renowned works of art of all time, Beethoven’s ground-breaking Symphony no. 9, along with Vaughan-Williams’s Toward the Unknown Region and a selection of songs from Shostakovich’s Ten Poems on Texts by Revolutionary Poets.
