Time Travel is a chance for pupils from the north-west and north coast to follow the evolution of the orchestra from a small string ensemble to a 60-strong collection of instruments of all types. The pupils will be treated to a musical journey through time, starting with the music of Purcell and culminating in the music from ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’. The programme will feature music by Handel, Mozart, Stravinsky, Britten and Andrew Lloyd Webber. If you would like further information for your school, please contact the UO’s Education Department on 028 9026 0478. ‘This is the third year that the Ulster Orchestra and its award-winning Education Department have organised this event. Following the huge success of previous years, we hope there will be a strong uptake from schools.’
