DEREK RYAN & FAMILY / YOUNG COUNTRY
COUNTRY MUSIC FAMILY:
THE RYANS. DEREK / ADRIAN / PAT
Derek Ryan is a household name and a country music superstar. Tonight Opry le Daniel brings you a special treat, where Derek appears tonight with his brother Adrian and father Pat for a one off special entertainment show.
The Ryan boys, Derek and Adrian, seemed destined to play a part in Irish ‘showbiz’ from an early age as their father Pat, an accomplished musician and sean nós singer, was taking them to the annual Fleadh Cheoil around the towns of Ireland where they would play bodhran and drums and, of course, sing.
Derek and Adrian’s first foray into showbiz entertainment was performing as the Ryan Brothers, with each eventually going their own separate ways and forging very successful solo careers. With such a mixture of true celtic and country music from each of them, tickets for this special Country Music Family show will be well and truly sought after.
Stuart Moyles / Keelan Arbuckle / Olivia Douglas / Caitlin / Brandon Mc Phee
The appeal of country music has never been greater and there is a new generation of country music artists appearing weekly. Our ‘Young Country’ concert gives them a platform to showcase their talent as our host Daniel O Donnell introduces them on to the Opry stage.
Having been around music from a young age and serving his time in several bands, Stuart Moyles is no stranger to the stage.
Keelan, at just 17, has been on the country music scene for the past three years and has performed alongside most of the great Irish country music stars.
Olivia came to national attention as a contestant on TG4’s Glór Tíre in 2016, and has quickly established herself as one of the brightest young talents on the Irish Country scene.
Caitlin released her first album when she was in her early twenties but it was her recording of ‘My Conemara Marble Ring’ that launched her career.
Hailed as the next Jimmy Shand, Brandon has built a following in Ireland and it is a great pleasure for Opry to give him a chance to showcase his talent on ‘live’ television.
Please note: these concerts are recorded for TG4 television and an age limit of 16 and over applies
