PANTO AUDIENCES DIG DEEP FOR MAYOR’S CHARITY

Millennium Forum Front of House Manager, Brona McLaughlin, and Michael Carlin, Customer Services, recently presented a cheque for £8,232.36 to the Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Cllr Sandra Duffy. This money was donated to the Mayor’s Charity, First Housing and was collected during performances of the Forum’s record-breaking Christmas pantomime, Cinderella.

David McLaughlin, Chief Executive of the Millennium Forum commented:

“This is a fantastic sum of money collected from our panto audiences and everyone at the Forum thanks each and every customer for their kind donation. We are delighted to support the Mayor’s Charity each year during our panto run.  Cinderella last Christmas was the most successful panto in our history and our audiences have shown their incredible generosity once again.”

The Mayor of Derry/Strabane, Cllr Sandra Duffy added:

“I would like to sincerely thank everyone who donated so generously to my collection appeal at this year’s record breaking pantomime run and staff at the Millennium Forum who organised and coordinated it. The funds raised will go directly towards supporting people in our City and District in housing need and allow First Housing Aid and Support Services to continue to provide professional advice and solutions for them.”

Cinderella at the Millennium Forum was sponsored by the Richmond Centre and ran throughout the festive season at the cityside theatre.
