START A NEW TRADITION WITH A CHRISTMAS EVE VISIT TO PANTO!

It’s Christmas Eve. There’s lots to do in preparation for the big man in the red suit to arrive. Presents need wrapped, carrots need peeled, the Christmas trifle needs to be made, the turkey needs prepped and the kids need entertained. This year, the Millennium Forum has the perfect solution for one of these festive dilemmas. The North West’s leading theatre may not be able to help you with the carrots or turkey situation, but it most certainly can entertain the kids!
This Christmas Eve, it’s time to let the aunties, uncles, grannies, grandas or best friends take the kids off your hands and bring them to see the biggest panto in town and make their Christmas even more magical. Or maybe it’s time for families to start a new Christmas tradition this year and bring the whole tribe for a festive extravaganza that everyone will remember forever?
For the first time in its history, the Millennium Forum hosts a Christmas Eve matinee performance of their smash hit panto, Aladdin and, already, it’s proving to be a great hit with local audiences.
David McLaughlin, Chief Executive of the Forum said:
“With only a few weeks to go, lots of families have already chosen to spend their Christmas Eve with us in pantoland and we can’t wait to welcome everyone as I’m sure there will be extra excitement. Our panto, Aladdin, this year has helped get local audiences feeling festive and it really is the perfect way to make Christmas even more magical this year. It’s already proving to be our biggest and best panto yet, so our Christmas Eve performance will be extra special for everyone this year. A trip to panto on Christmas Eve has been a tradition across the country for decades and we can’t wait to help local families start theirs this year with us.”
The North West’s biggest panto sees the return of Conal Gallen, this time in the role of the (ahem) beautiful Dame Widow Twankey in this year’s extravaganza, Aladdin. Joining Conal onstage is the cream of local talent with Dylan Reid as Aladdin, Aodhan Kehoe as is loveable sidekick, Wishy Washy, Corrie Earley as Princess Jasmine, Karen Hawthorne as the evil Abanazar, Matthew McLaughlin as PC Donut, Niamh Morrison as the Genie of the Lamp, Eoin Callaghan as The Emperor and Lily O’Regan as the Slave of the Ring, plus a hugely talented ensemble cast.
Make your wishes come true this Christmas and treat the family to the must-see show of the festive season. Come with us to pantoland where evil sorcerer, Abanazar, seeks the magic lamp to bring him untold wealth and power. Can Aladdin save the day? Will Wishy Washy and the Genie of the Lamp help our hero? Will Princess Jasmine find the boy of her dreams? Will Widow Twankey finally wear something that doesn’t look like an explosion in a paint factory?
This magical adventure story will be brought to life in the Forum’s spectacular production complete with stunning sets, beautiful costumes and lots of comedy. Book your seats now for the carpet ride of a lifetime!
Proudly sponsored by the Richmond Centre, Aladdin performs on Christmas Eve at 1.30pm and continues its run right up until Tues 31st December. To book tickets, telephone the Box Office on 71 264455 (option 1) or visit millenniumforum.co.uk
