Facilitator Call out – Youth Projects

Qualifications

The Millennium Forum is currently seeking creative freelance facilitators to deliver workshops for its ‘Happy Stage -Your Forum Your Stage’ Project and other Youth Projects throughout 2024. Practitioners specialising in Acting, Movement and Music will be considered. Facilitators should have at least three years’ experience of delivering creative arts workshops/classes and an interest in creating work with young people.

‘Happy Stage -Your Forum Your Stage’ This is an inclusive youth project which, addresses young people’s mental health through drama and peer learning. This initiative targets 12 to 18-year-olds, reflecting the Forum’s commitment to addressing significant youth issues through the arts, it utilises health professionals, is run in house, and delivered in communities and in schools. It currently has 30 participants and can work with up to 70 and delivers peer to peer learning. It has created new friendships, the current cohort have jelled very well together and have formed a tight network helping them explore and enjoy performance while working on self-care and mindfulness.

The Forum has already established itself as a key provider for youth arts projects in the North West and we have big plans to continue with our award-winning events. ‘See it, explore it, create it’ is a moto we use here and we firmly believe in giving all young people the opportunity to access the arts, so we need the best creative facilitators to help us achieve this. As all of our youth projects are led by our young people, it is important that our Youth Forum is included in all aspects of our future events, including the selection process of our freelance facilitators.”

Anyone interested should send an Expression Of Interest by Friday 12th Jan 2024. All entries should include a CV and/or short video plus full details of a workshop/project idea aimed at a youth audience.
