Energy Train

Energy Train is a DJ Training programme for 12 people aged 15+ living with a disability.

Participants will learn new DJ skills from our DJ’s Oliver Brown and Kevin Boyle. The Millennium Forum Technical Team will also provide sound and lighting training. Participants will also be offered a ‘guest DJ slot’ at one of our monthly Energy of Light Disco’s in the Millennium Forum, Studio Theatre. At the end of this course participants will receive an OCN accreditation.

Meet the Energy Train Tutors:

KEVIN BOYLE AKA THE SILVER FOX DJ

Dj compere and radio presenter. Kevin has been a Dj and producer for over 20 years. Kevin has been working with a number of community groups and schools and now works as a facilitator in the Millennium Forum with fellow Dj and (EOL), Energy of Light resident Dj Oliver Brown.

OLIVER BROWN

Music and DJ’ing has been a huge part of Oliver’s life throughout his school years. In 2017 he decided to start his own Disco’s calling them Energy of Light. These are monthly discos for people aged 15+ living with a disability. In this environment people get the opportunity to meet people they might have never met before in a social environment.

Both Kevin and Oliver teach young people ages 15+ the Dj skills needed to mix and produce songs and soundscapes, This helps enhance confidence and gives the students an opportunity to Dj at the monthly EOL disco in the Millennium Forum.
