Join the backstage crew at the Millennium Forum for its 2024 Panto Season!
The Millennium Forum is looking to add to its team of stage crew and follow spot operators for its beloved and award-winning pantomime – which this year is Aladdin!
STAGE CREW
Stage crew will work alongside the venue’s in-house technical team and stage management –assisting during the get-in/get-out and technical rehearsals, getting the stage ready before performances and managing scene changes, managing the backstage area during the production run, and assisting with turnovers for visiting shows playing over the top of our panto.
Previous experience is desirable but not required.
FOLLOW SPOT OPERATORS
Follow spot operators will work alongside the lighting designer and stage management team – operating the follow spot for all performances and ensuring all cues are carried out as directed by the Lighting Designer. The role will also involve assisting with interval change and resets between shows, operation of certain special effects as necessary (any required training will be provided), and the maintenance and upkeep of the follow spots and a marked-up cue sheet for the production run.
Previous experience is desirable but not required.
These positions also offer further work at the Millennium Forum on a casual basis both before and after the pantomime run. We are the North West’s premier theatre and receiving house – so there are opportunities year-round to work in a variety of roles backstage- including lighting, sound, fly’s, stage, and fit-ups/get-outs.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Job Title: Stage Crew or Follow Spot Operator
Responsible to: Technical Manager
Contract: Fixed Term. Various contracts are available between 24 November 2024 – 2 January 2025 with the potential of casual work before and after.
Working Hours: Average of 40 hours per week across the contract. Weekend and evening work will be required.
Work Base: Millennium Forum Theatre & Conference Centre, Newmarket Street, Derry/Londonderry, BT48 6EB
Salary: £11.50/hour
