HALLELUJAH! TICKET SALES SOAR TO THE HEAVENS FOR SISTER ACT THE MUSICAL!

Your prayers have been answered!  The West End touring production of the hit musical, Sister Act, arrives in town later next month for a week-long run at the Millennium Forum. If you’re one of the lucky ones who has already secured your seat, you’re promised an evening of heavenly joy! If, however, you’re still trying to break the habit of indecision (see what we did, there), then you’d better be quick, as the Millennium Forum has just announced that tickets for the smash hit show are now very limited.

Lisa Heaney, Box Office Manager said:

We have witnessed phenomenal demand for tickets to see Sister Act and it’s no surprise; the show is a world class production and features a hugely talented West End cast. Tickets for the show have been in such demand that we anticipate a sell-out run, so I’d encourage anyone who hasn’t yet booked their seat, to do so soon to avoid disappointment.”

West End star Landi Oshinowo will lead the cast as Deloris Van Cartier in the UK and Ireland tour, which is coming to the Millennium Forum from Monday 26th February to Saturday 2nd March.

Landi Oshinow’s theatre credits include Mrs Phelps in Matilda The Musical at the Cambridge Theatre, Shrek the Musical at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, The Light Princess at the National Theatre, Big Fish at The Other Palace and Sister Act at the London Palladium. Further credits include the national tours of Barnum, Fame and The Who’s Tommy.

The cast also includes Alfie Parker as Eddie Souther, Ian Gareth-Jones as Curtis Jackson, Lori Haley Fox as Mother Superior and Eloise Runnette as Sister Mary Robert, alongside Isabel Canning, Julie Stark, Phillip Arran, Kate Powell, Wendy-Lee Purdy, Elliot Gooch, Michalis Antoniou, Callum Martin, Esme Laudat, Amber Kennedy, Harvey Ebbage, Joseph Connor, Ceris Hine, Sheri Lineham, Corrine Priest and Samuel John-Humphreys.

Based on the iconic movie, this sparkling tribute to the universal power of friendship, sisterhood and music tells the hilarious story of the disco diva whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a murder. Under protective custody she is hidden in the one place she won’t be found – a convent! Disguised as a nun and under the suspicious watch of Mother Superior, Deloris helps her fellow sisters find their voices as she unexpectedly rediscovers her own.

SISTER ACT has direction by Bill Buckhurst, choreography by Alistair David, Set and Costume Design by Morgan Large, Lighting Design by Tim Mitchell, Sound Design by Tom Marshall and Musical Supervision by Stephen Brooker. Casting is by Stuart Burt.

SISTER ACT features original music by Tony® and 8-time Oscar® winner Alan Menken(Disney’s Aladdin, Enchanted), lyrics by Glenn Slater, book by Bill and Cheri Steinkellner with additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane. SISTER ACT is produced by Jamie Wilson, Kevin McCollum, Gavin Kalin, Front Row Productions, Evolution Productions, Tulchin Bartner Productions, Robbie Wilson and Curve.
