Energy Train

Energy Train is a DJ Training programme for 12 people aged 15+ living with a disability.

Participants will learn new DJ skills from our DJ’s Oliver Brown and Gary Curran. The Millennium Forum Technical Team will also provide sound and lighting training. Participants will also be offered a ‘guest DJ slot’ at one of our monthly Energy of Light Disco’s in the Millennium Forum, Studio Theatre. At the end of this course participants will receive an OCN accreditation.

Meet the Energy Train Tutors:

For the last 20 years Gary has designed, delivered and evaluated various youth based programs and workshops. Gary is a fully focused Tutor, Mentor and Lecturer and his ability to become a pivotal focal point for each group or individual facilitates his consistency in meeting their needs. Musically Gary possesses expert experience in audio engineering, producing, DJing and live performance.

Music and DJ’ing has been a huge part of Oliver’s life throughout his school years. In 2017 he decided to start his own Disco’s calling them Energy of Light. These are monthly discos for people aged 15+ living with a disability. In this environment people get the opportunity to meet people they might have never met before in a social environment.
